Kathryn Evans has been writing since she was fourteen years old and has been telling stories in her head for as long as she can remember. She was raised on J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll, and Dr. Seuss. As she has grown older, she has also developed an affinity for classics such as Homer, Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Milton.

Welcome to my website, and a glimpse into my little world.

I say that I am a writer, but what that really means is that I am obsessed with stories and that the most comfortable medium for me is the written word. I love books, movies, TV shows, plays, poetry, and anything else that you can find stories in, but writing is how I express my own stories and the stories that I feel are important to be told.

A few other important things to know about me:
  • I am a Roman Catholic, having grown up non-religious but then joining the church shortly after I turned 25. My faith is very important to me and has become an integral part of my everyday life. I am constantly discovering and exploring new areas of the Catholic faith, and I love learning new things such as Church history, the saints, and current teachings like Pope Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
  • After spending the majority of my life contentedly single, in my 30s I finally met the most wonderful man and then married him as soon as I could.
  • A few of my general obsessions include: cooking, The Lord of the Rings (books and movies), homesteading, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what it means to be a woman (especially a Catholic woman) in today’s society, Russian literature, and Doctor Who.
