Kathryn Evans has been writing since she was fourteen years old and has been telling stories in her head for as long as she can remember. She was raised on J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll, and Dr. Seuss. As she has grown older, she has also developed an affinity for classics such as Homer, Chaucer, Shakespeare, and Milton.
Welcome to my website, and a glimpse into my little world.
I say that I am a writer, but what that really means is that I am obsessed with stories and that the most comfortable medium for me is the written word. I love books, movies, TV shows, plays, poetry, and anything else that you can find stories in, but writing is how I express my own stories and the stories that I feel are important to be told.
I am a self-published author and you can currently find my work available on Amazon. I chose the self-publishing route because it is important to me to ensure the quality and integrity of my own work, to have full-control over my own content and my image, and to know that I will never have to compromise my beliefs to suit someone else’s business plan.
- I am a Roman Catholic, having grown up non-religious but then joining the church shortly after I turned 25. My faith is very important to me and has become an integral part of my everyday life. I am constantly discovering and exploring new areas of the Catholic faith, and I love learning new things such as Church history, the saints, and current teachings like Pope Saint John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
- I’ve been writing for most of my life, but most recently I wrote a book in honor of my 30th birthday about some of the things I have learned so far in my life. I think it’s a pretty good read. You should check it out.
- A few of my general obsessions include: cooking, The Lord of the Rings (books and movies), homesteading, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, what it means to be a woman (especially a Catholic woman) in today’s society, and Doctor Who.
